been there, done every job.
i’ve worked in the fashion industry since i was 16 and run my own brands for 9 years. i’ve built a brand to £1m, kept one going through covid, and had two babies along the way. starting a brand is the easy bit. keeping it going is the hard part, and that’s what i’m here to help with.

from apprentice to £1m brand.
apprenticeship at a small fashion brand
i learnt the back end of a business: making the products, dealing with suppliers, answering customer emails and doing the accounts. it’s where i first thought “i could do this myself one day”.
next
the front end. how people actually shop, what they pick up first, how stock is stored and shown, and how to sell face to face.
sports direct
started as a fashion assistant and saw everyone’s job: buying, design, marketing, the photo studio, sampling and the warehouse. then i moved into design.
tog24
a northern brand close to my heart. outdoor, knitwear and jersey design, factories, colour palettes, fabrics, shoots and website listings.
big wild thought
after five years of being a sponge, i started my own brand. it turned over £1m in 18 months. i did everything myself, apart from the photographer, and kept it going through covid.
morning club
after my first baby i built a brand that felt like me: fun, nostalgic and full of personality. it hit six figures in about four months.
laura’s business hotline
a mum of two, running big wild thought and morning club, and ready to be the business bestie i needed when i started.
the hotline rules.
no judgement
i’ve been judged by “experts”. you won’t get that here. no question is too small.
realistic, not magic
no “just get 1,000 followers”. real steps that turn followers into sales and customers into regulars.
there’s room for you
there’s space for every business. i want to help you build one that lasts.

marketing isn’t easy, and that’s ok.
it’s changing all the time, and i’m still learning as i go. i’ll share what i find out, what it means for you, and where it’s heading, whether you’re stuck on ads, your website, stock or factories. i can be your cheerleader. your bestie on the hotline.

what makes this different? i’ve done loads of courses and mentorships.
i’ve done every job in a product business: making, retail, head office, design, and running my own brands through covid and two babies. you get realistic steps that fit your brand and the hours you actually have, and a real person to ask when you’re stuck. no scripts, no judgement and no “1,000 followers overnight”.
what qualifies you?
14 years in the fashion industry, from an apprenticeship at 16 to retail at next, head office at sports direct and designing for tog24. then 9 years running my own brands: big wild thought turned over £1m in its first 18 months, and morning club hit six figures in about four months. i did the ads, the websites, the factories and the stock myself.
can i ask questions on the party line?
yes. pop your question in the chat, before or during the call, and we’ll answer them at the end of each weekly group call.
who are the party line and 1:1 mentorship for?
product-based businesses, mainly fashion and accessories brands, from idea stage to established. if you sell products, you’ll feel at home.
